Memorial Day Weekend

Truly thank you. Most of us don't know what it's like to not live in a free country. We often take it for granted. Those people who gave their lives for our freedoms should be thanked and remembered.

This Memorial Day weekend was filled with fun and family and lots of love.

We started out on Saturday by going to a baby shower. My best friends daughter is having her 2nd little girl :) I made some simple Rice Krispie treats, but I had to add a little of my love for stamping :) This card was just so beautiful! There is still some "Pop of Paradise" Designer Series Paper available for 1 more day!!!! One of the sheets is the whisper white with the gold foil polka dots. Ohhhh goodness it is beautiful. The baby is gonna be named Emery, so hence the "E" on the treats.

We did some BBQing for dinner Saturday night.

On Sunday after church we made our way to the store to get FLOWERS!!! Tons of flowers. I planted on Sunday and Monday. We made the front and back patio alive with color :) Now if I can just keep them watered and fed nicely so they grow extra beautiful that would be good.

Here is one of the things I do every year, and that is to do this little cascade of planters and fill with petunia's. Usually within a month or so you can barely see the pots, and it looks like a tree of flowers :)

Then on Monday, Memorial Day we traveled over to the cemetery and spruced them up. My husband has a cool app where you take any pic and turn it into a swirly watercolor. I just love grasses and flowers and even the bronzed headstone all swirly. My grandma loved bright beautiful flowers that could be seen above all others. I think she would have been proud of our selection. :)

And how could I forget???? I did a Facebook Live on Saturday night! I gave away new ink colors, new ribbons, and several other things. Everyone had a great time. All those freebies went out today in the mail. :)

I also separated and repackaged a card swap for 40 participants. That was a TON of work....hours!!!

This long weekend was very productive and fun. There was a ton of sun which meant lots of time on the back patio.

What is a Paper Share you ask? A Paper Share is where you get a little of each type of Designer Series Paper (DSP). The full details of exactly what you will get are noted below.

Daisy Delight!

Daisy Delight

It's one of my most favorite sets in the catalog! It is a set that as a demonstrator I was able to preorder. It is such a lovely set.

I made about 20 of these cards for a swap that I've involved in. :) It should be fun. I love getting 19 cards in return that are all different. People come up with so many great ideas. It always amazes me!

As for mine, I didn't get to spend time with my momma as I had been up to see her on her birthday last Monday, and her hubby is sick, so we had to miss this year. Made me sad, but we are already planning next year's overnighter with my sister, a spa sounds nice.

What I did get to do this year was have a wonderful brunch with my husband and daughter, followed by some relaxation and crafting, then a movie (A Dog's Purpose.....oh my it got me), and then Sushi with my girls for dinner. It was a lovely day. :)

My hubby got me a gift card to pick out some flowers for the back porch, Sara got me some treats and an iTunes card, and my oldest, Caitlyn, got me a gift certificate for a 1 hour facial and a 1 hour massage, so we are gonna go do that together :) I was very spoiled not to mention sweet cards and kind words from them all.

Even my furbaby gave me some love :)

Whatever you did, I hope you enjoyed it. I hope that it gave you rest and peace and brought a smile to your face.

Happy Birthday Mom :)

Happy 67th Birthday Mom!

Normally on Monday's I get everyone off to school and work and it is my day off from my RN Case Management job and I get to focus on my Stampin' Up! business :)

But today...there is something more pressing.

Today is my Mom's Birthday.

So today my girls and I are heading up to see mom and meet her for lunch and a movie.

She lives a couple hours away so we are skipping school and our regular commitments and spending time with her.

It's a lovely day out and the drive with my girls is always filled with fun, music, and tons of singing. We sound pretty awesome lol....well until we turn down the music...then we are like...uhhhh yeah...Sara is the only good singer.

So...I won't be posting a video today, but do check out my "Card a Day in May" posts over on my facebook page.

New Catalog – did you hear me say that earlier????

Well...you heard right. :) The new 2017-2018 Catalog will go live on June 1^st.

Scrapbook Time

Time to Scrapbook!

Scrap-booking is what started all this craftiness in me as an adult. I've always been a paper crafting girl. In elementary school I used to get crafting books from the Library and after school I would make crafts and give them to my grandparents. :)

When I had kids I started scrap-booking. My oldest is 22 now. She has a great scrapbook until she was about 7 or so....then I fizzled out. I think because by then I had another little girl and so then I was trying to do 2 scrapbooks. I just couldn't keep up. Then the digital world exploded and all my pictures were on my computer and on my phone, and scrap-booking took a back seat to all these pictures that I had available to see anytime...I didn't have to wait to develop them.

Well instead of worrying about all the pages that I haven't done. I think I'll just start where I'm at. My youngest is in high-school, and I'm sure when she graduates, she would love a scrapbook of her high-school years. :)

Do you ever feel like you aren't sure where to start when making a scrapbook page? I've heard many Stampin' Up! demonstrators say, "Use your card design". So I decided to try it. You know what???? It was so nice! I had the design and the colors already figured out. I just had to move it to a bigger canvas.
