Technique Thursday :)
This is a new thing that I am starting :)
New techniques will be shared at least once a month on a Thursday.
This first one was recommended by Kathy one of my Stampin' RN VIP's.
I had not seen this technique before so I had some researching it and trying different things.
Here is what I came up with :)
I just love the look of this ice technique and how it makes this butterfly look like Stained Glass.
You can use any stamp for this technique but stamps that have a nice thick border and open areas to color in really lend themselves to the Stained Glass look.
The Beautiful Day Stamp Set is just perfect for it.
Other items that you will need are...
Some Stampin' Pad Ink Colors or Stampin' Blends and a sponge...
as well as ...

That butterfly is gorgeous. I love to try new techniques too. Some are hit and miss but its always fun to try.
Super cute Nicole, your card turned out gorgeous. Love you using the ink pads. I have a question about the blender pens. Its hard to tell ,but do they have a nice point for doing small areas? And do they hold up well and not break down? Also are they refillable or disposable? I'm full of questions tonight. Is the blender ink a alcohol base? I need one and I need one for my water color pencils.
Kim...they do start out with a nice point. They come with 3 in a pack for $12. They hold up well, but I have used mine way too long.lol. They are disposable and are water based. Questions are always good :) Never hesitate to ask. ~Nicole
If tips are still pretty good you could re use them for color pencils with water.Makes them last a bit longer when they run out of solution.. Thanks for answering my questions.
Wow!!! You did it again! This card is so very pretty. I'm going to try to make one but might not give it away if it turns out as pretty as yours!!!
